How to Prepare Your Hazardous Waste for Drop-Off

• Transport chemicals in the original containers. NEVER mix chemicals.
• Place smaller items upright in a sturdy container. Transport containers will be returned upon request or recycled.
• If an item is leaking, pack it in a larger container. Soak up the leak with an absorbent material, such as kitty litter or sawdust.
• Whenever possible, transport chemicals in the non-passenger area of the vehicle
• If you're bringing more than one container, try stacking them neatly in an empty box before bringing them into the facility. Please do not pile them in a garbage bag or trash can.
